Alex de Minaur vs Jannik Sinner - Next Gen Finals - Preview and Prediction

Milan throws up a magnificent clash as World number 18, Alex de Minaur takes on number 95, Jannik Sinner in the Next-Gen finals tomorrow.

The top seed has been unstoppable so far. Attacking stroke-play coupled up with fighting spirit has made him the man to beat. The Australian beat his close friend, Frances Tiafoe in the semifinals. Though he lost the third set 0-4, "Demon" has he is fondly called slammed eight aces and did not make a single double fault.

On the other hand, Jannik Sinner won the battle of nerves beating number 60, Mimoir Kecmanovic in the other semifinal. He made a strong comeback after losing the first set 4-2. A high first-serve percentage of 75 helped him.

“Here you put everything aside, it doesn't matter what rankings, form, how you have been playing. It's a tennis match, and you're playing your opponent. It's about whoever plays better on that day", said De Minaur ahead of the crucial match. 

"It's unbelievable, I did not feel so well in the beginning and he was playing very good, very aggressive. I  have never had this kind of feeling, so I'm very happy. I think I've done a great job." said Sinner after his thrilling win against Kecmanovic in the finals.

A 20-year old taking on an 18-year old in a big final is the best thing for the future of tennis.

The crowd will look to match the energy of the players with their strong support. They will have a tough time to choose between the in-form De Minaur and home favourite, Sinner.
