Premier League trio want Belgian League sensation
Premier League trio Arsenal, Everton and Leicester City are among the seven clubs tracking Gent starlet Jonathan David, according to reports.
The Canada International has been enjoying a stunning season at the Belgian outfit, scoring 21 goals and recording 10 assists from 35 games.
And, according to reports in Belgium, Arsenal, Everton and Leicester have all expressed their interest in the 20-year-old.
However, the English trio will face competition from Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig, as well as Italian duo Napoli and Lazio for David who is rated around £18 million.
Lyon were also considering a move for the 20-year-old in January, and are likely to revive their bid to land him in the summer.
The French side may need a replacement for their star striker Moussa Dembele as the Frenchman has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in Europe.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United have been strongly linked with the former Celtic striker and could make a move for him in the summer.
There is also interest from RB Leipzig from Germany, who seem resigned to losing striker Timo Werner to either Bayern Munich or Liverpool.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are facing a potential mass exodus this summer, with six senior players, including top earners Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, out of contract in less than 18 months’ time.
David is not only one of the best strikers in the Belgian top flight, he is also also one of the most flexible ones.
The 20-year-old is capable of filling in anywhere across the front three and that takes his stock even higher.
Mikel Arteta will definitely be boosted to have the player thanks to the youngster's capability to be able to play as an attacking midfielder, a second striker, as well as a lone number nine.
