Chelsea's transfer ban lifted

Chelsea were imposed a two window ban by FIFA as a punishment for breaching rules relating to
international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.

This ban was shortened by Court of Arbitration of Sport on Friday. Although when asked about his
potential targets this transfer window, Frank Lampard was calm and composed and decided not to rush over anything.

The Chelsea coach also stated that they were hoping for a positive outcome and decided to keep calm until the decision came in their favour. Lampard, who became the head coach of Chelsea at the start of this season has shown some fantastic management skills, which were as impressive as the results he produced in the Championship.

Just within a few moments after the imposed ban was lifted, rumours have began to do the rounds. Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, Leicester full-back Ben Chilwell and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha are the potential targets.

Chelsea, as it stands, have a strong squad with Tammy Abraham being the top scorer and the newly signed American, Christian Pulisic showing their ability.

Before the ban, Bundesliga top scorer Robert Lewandowski was also linked with the Blues. With the possibility of new signings opening-up, Olivier Giroud will find it more difficult to get any playing time.

When asked about the possibility of signing any striking options, Lampard remarked that, "It doesn't change anything, I just consider the squad I've got now".

In spite of losing their star winger Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, Chelsea are in the top 4 at the moment. However, their form against the top 6 has been far from impressive.

They still need to win a game against their top four rivals and this probably shows that they need a superstar, who can help them win big games.

Chelsea also is participating in the Champions League, which means they need to have a strong squad depth indicating the need to sign a player in the upcoming transfer window.
