Fantasy Premier League 20/21 - FPL Gameweek 20:

We have passed the half-way stage in the Premier League season and barring a couple of teams, most teams are struggling for consistency which is reflecting on the points accumulated by their key players in the FPL in the last few gameweeks.

Injury Updates:

Both are key figures for their respective teams and also the main source of points for many FPL players in their squad. Hence, we are pretty sure it is a huge setback going into FPL gameweek 20, with replacements of such caliber hard to find.

Replacements:

With De Bruyne valued at £11.9 m and Vardy at £10.1 m, you will have a sufficient amount of funds available for FPL gameweek 20 to find their replacements. 

Most strikers apart from Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy just look out of their depth at the moment. Goals have dried up for both, Callum Wilson of Newcastle and Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Everton. Both Wilson and Calvert-Lewin have been on a goalless run for 5 straight games now. 

 Hence, we would recommend you to have midfielders from in form teams in the Premier League for FPL gameweek 20. 

James Maddison was simply world-class against Chelsea last week. The Englishman has everything to be a top midfielder; passing ability, long shots, set-piece taker. At the price of £7.1 m, Maddison is an absolute steal given his form and caliber.

Another midfielder who is highly underrated is the former Borussia Dortmund man, Ilkay Gundogan. The German has stepped up for Pep Guardiola with stellar performances week in week out in the Premier League. 

Injuries didn't help his cause earlier this season, but since returning, he has been a key member of the Man City midfield engine. At a price of £5.5 m, its a no-brainer to have him in your FPL gameweek 20 squad, also considering the fact that De Bruyne would be out for a few gameweeks.

Blue Moon Rising again:

Manchester City's form has been near perfect in the last couple of months in the Premier League. A lot of credit goes to their solid defensive pairing of Ruben Dias and John Stones at the back for City. 

Kevin De Bruyne is getting back to his best and he is being supported really well in midfield by Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden. Though we feel Man City still needs to find a player capable of replacing City legend Sergio Aguero.

Hence, Sportco would recommend having at least 3 Man City players in your team for FPL gameweek 20 also considering the fact that they have relatively easy fixtures lineup for February in the Premier League.

Captain Selection Tips for FPL Gameweek 20:

We would recommend you to go for Bruno Fernandes (C) as the Captain for FPL Gameweek 20 as Man United face bottom side Sheffield Utd at Old Trafford this week. 

Bruno is the main source of goal threat for United be it his finishing, penalties, or assists. Man United are in a rich vein of form recently and a lot of credit for this goes to the POTM award holder, Bruno Fernandes.
