Inter Milan Want Arturo Vidal And Nemanja Matic In January

For almost a decade now, there has been Juventus' monopoly in the Serie A. It started with Antonio Conte and it could finally come to an end by the man himself, who is now managing Internazionale.

Conte has taken charge of Inter this summer and has exceeded all expectations. We can expect to see a tight title race this campaign, something Italian football has hardly witnessed in the past decade.

The Nerazzurri have had a busy summer transfer window this time out around and plenty of more acquisitions are likely during the winter transfer window as well.

In order to ensure that they can sustain their push and even kick on to continue to improve in the second half of the season, the Inter hierarchy is ready to back Conte once again.

Conte is reportedly looking to reunite with two of his former midfielders, Arturo Vidal and Nemanja Matic in January as he looks to bring more experience to the side.

Vidal used to be an integral member of Conte's dominant Juventus side and is now at the dusk of his career. He is more of a squad player at Barcelona now and might be looking for an escape route.

Nemanja Matic, on the other hand, has also not been a regular for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Manchester United side. Still only 31, he might also be open for a new challenge and a reunion with his former manager Conte could be to his liking.

In a league like Serie A where the game hardly relies on pace and agility, experienced players can come handy in order to see out a close title race.

Both Vidal and Matic have been in such situations numerous times in their career. Vidal, for instance, has won as many as eight league titles across Europe, while Matic has won four league titles.

However, it is believed that Inter want either of the two midfielders. Also, Inter will want to offload a player or two in order to make room for Matic or Vidal.

Given the likes of Marcelo Brozovic, Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella have been key performers so far this season and two of that trio were signed this past summer, their positions in the squad appear quite safe.

It means that the likes of Matias Vecino, Roberto Gagliardini, Borja Valero and others could be axed, if Conte believes that offloading them could land his preferred targets.
