Manchester United target Jadon Sancho is now wanted by Real Madrid

Manchester United have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of their mega-target Jadon Sancho, if reports in England are to be believed. Real Madrid have reportedly reignited their interest Jadon Sancho.

According to reports, Los Blancos are preparing a fresh summer bid for the 19-year-old, three years after they missed out on the Englishman. 

The English wonder-kid left Manchester City in 2017 to join Borussia Dortmund. The German giants offered the youngster the right opportunity to make his name and he took his chances, making him one of the best youngsters in the world.

He is not only a regular for the club but also in Gareth Southgate's England squad. With almost every top European club looking to sign the player, Dortmund have now resigned to the idea of losing Sancho at the end of this season. 

They are, however, determined to receive in excess of £100m for Sancho. His contract expires in the summer of 2022, which puts the club in the driver's seat in negotiations.

The 19-year-old has found the back of the net thrice while producing six assists in 11 Bundesliga games this term. He bagged his first Three Lions' goals in the 5-3 win over Kosovo in September too.

Manchester United are long-term admirers of Sancho and are very keen to lure him back to England. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will certainly be disappointed to see Real Madrid, with all their financial clout, enter the fray.

The Red Devils look unlikely to be able to offer the player Champions League football next season. Solskjaer's side currently sits in seventh place in the points table. The situation is alarming and players like Sancho are needed to change it in the future.

However, managing to sign big players without Champions League football is a very tough thing, even for a club of Manchester United's stature. When clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona want the same players, it becomes even more difficult.
