With his relentless baseline consistency, Medvedev thrashed Novak Djokovic 6-3 6-3. He was turning defense into attack so quickly flummoxing the Serb who ran out of ideas. 

On the other hand, Schwartzman lost a close three-setter to Alexander Zverev. He could win just 47% of his second serve points and won only 33% of the breakpoints. 

The Russian will look to maintain his rhythm and high level of consistency with the business end of the tournament nearing. The Argentine has been struggling with his return of serve in London. The 'Bear' from Russia as he is fondly called would look to use an aggressive approach and finish off the points quickly as there are less than 24 hours between this match and his semifinal. 

Schwartzman had multiple chances to grab the momentum against Zverev but failed to do so. Medvedev's serve has been rock-solid suffering only one break at the hands of Zverev in the first game of their match. 

The Argentine's first serve in the last match was only 63% and he did not smash even a single ace. Meanwhile, Medvedev smashed 10 aces and won 79% of his first-serve points. 

The two players do not share a very cordial relationship after Medvedev was fined for unsportsmanlike conduct after celebrating wildly post his win during the ATP Cup. 

The Russian would aim to keep his focus straight and continue his winning run while Schwartzman will aim for his maiden win at the tournament in his first attempt.
