Manchester City had their fair shares of ups and downs in the Premier League and Champions League this season; now their next stop is Liverpool, which will be another important fixture for the Pep Guardiola. 

Liverpool bounced back from a poor defensive display against Brentford last week with a 5-1 thumping of FC Porto.  The Merseyside club haven't lost a game this season till now and have flourished in all competitions.  

Their star player Mohamed Salah has been firing cylinders since the beginning. The Egyptian has scored five goals in six games in Premier League and three in the Champions League. He also completed his century of goals in the Premier League in a 3-0 triumph over Leeds united.

Mo Salah has a decent scoring record against Manchester City. The Egyptian has scored six goals and bagged two assists against Manchester City in 12 games since arriving at Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, and four of them have come in Premier League, and the other two in the Champions League. 

Mohamed Salah is the fourth highest player to score most goals against Manchester City, first is Jamie Vardy with nine goals, followed by Tottenham's Son Heung-min and Lionel Messi with seven goals. 

The Egyptian has become Jurgen Klopp main man upfront, and his presence on the field provided Liverpool immense confidence. He is Liverpool's prolific goal scorer and always stepped up in important games. 

Mo Salah will make his 13th appearance vs Man City, and would be the key to unlocking the City defense yet again.
