HAWKS TAKE DOWN PISTONS

In the first fixture of Day 3 of the NBA, Detroit Pistons hosted the Atlanta Hawks at the Little Cesar Arena. The back-to-back fixture for the Pistons, coming off an energetic win against the Pacers, was too much of a challenge as the Hawks trampled the home team 117-110.

Tae Young topped the charts, scoring 38 points, amassing 7 rebounds and provided 9 assists. He was assisted by John Collins and Jabari Parker who scored 18 points each.

The high-scoring fixture was very intense and the Pistons could just not keep up with the fresh young legs of the Hawks. The Hawks meanwhile, defended their perimeter brilliantly and also did very well to keep the rebounds away.

Derrick Rose scored 27, Andre Drummond had 21 points and 12 rebounds and Luke Kennard added 13 points for the Pistons. The Pistons will have their 3rd game in 4 nights as they host the Philadelphia 76ers this Saturday night.

BUCKS WIN THRILLING CLASH AGAINST ROCKETS

A nail-biting finish was in store for viewers as the Milwaukee Bucks snatched a victory from the brink of defeat against the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Centre.

Giannis Antetokounmpo starred for the Bucks, scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds and providing 11 assists, helping his team overcome a 16-point halftime deficit before he committed his sixth foul of the game with 5:18 remaining.

By that time, the Bucks had overcome their deficit and led by 101-95 having started Q4 3 points behind the Rockets. Every single Bucks player who started the game, ended in double digits.

Russell Westbrook topped the scoring for the rockets, dropping 33 points, amassing 16 rebounds and providing 7 assists. James Harden, who scored 15 points in the first half was lacklustre in the second, scoring only 4 points. He missed 7 floor-shots in the 2nd half, which included 6 3-pointers.

CLIPPERS SINK WARRIORS

Kawhi Leonard's LA Clippers took down Stephen Curry's Golden State Warriors at the Chase Centre. The home team was handed a resounding defeat of 19-points as the scores ended 141-122.

The Clippers' attack looked great on both sides as they relentlessly attacked the basket. Patterson, Leonard and Williams, all ended the game with 20 points or more.

Kawhi Leonard who was on the court for around 21 minutes, dazzled spectators with 5 rebounds and 9 assists, scoring 9-17 field goals, dropping a total of 21 points.

With this win, the Clippers have preserved their perfect start after 2 games. As for the Warriors, Stephen Curry and D'Angelo Russell looked good. Curry ended with 23 points and Russell with 20 points.

This defeat is a wake-up call for the Warriors. No doubt there will be easier games, but with the loss of Kevin Durant and injured Klay Thompson, the Warriors will have to make strides come playoff time to qualify for the Western Conference.
