Top-scoring PL footballers with 'isolate' in their names
'Isolate' is the most common word going on in the world currently. Sportspersons, celebs and common people are in self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic. In football, the first-team players and coaches of a few PL clubs such as Chelsea and Arsenal are in self-isolation. Callum Hudson-Odoi of Chelsea and Mikel Arteta of Arsenal tested positive and are currently recovering.
There are some top footballers who have all letters of word ‘isolate’ in their names.
Here are few of them.
Ruud van Nistelrooy
He is the highest scoring PL star that has those 7 letters in his name. He has scored 95 goals for Manchester United from 2001 and 2006. He has made 150 top-flight appearances for the Red Devils. He was named player of the season in United’s winning 2002/2003 season. He also picked up the Golden Boot awad.
Trevor Sinclair
You can scramble the name of former Manchester City star Sinclair to create the word isolate. He has scored 52 goals in the Premier League.
Leighton Baines
Everton star Leighton Baines is third in the list with isolate in his name and the most Premier League goals. He has scored 32 goals so far.
Malcolm Christie & Egil Ostenstad
They too have isolate in their names and are joint fourth in the list. They both have 29 goals to their names in PL. Christie played for Derby Count, Middlesbrough, and Leeds United. Ostenstad played for various PL clubs such as Southamptom, Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City (on loan).
