The Uruguayan was the wall that protected Tottenham to keep a well-deserved clean sheet during the match. His very first season for the Spurs side and also in the Premier League has started pretty well considering a slump in form during the match days 10 to 17 but it looks like his employers have caught back their form with some of their key players returning from injuries which they were missing.

Team: Arsenal  

The player was asked to mark Egyptian and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah during the match h which he did pretty well except for the moment when he was beaten by the flying winger who scored him a glorious goal. Consistent in the midfield he was a vital man from the back line providing an offensive threat which is always a plus point for Arsenal and will also help the team in the remaining season considering the indefinite absence of Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jurrien Timber.

Well it didn’t feel like William Saliba was playing his first-ever game at Anfield, isn’t it? The Frenchman is known for the composure he has on the ball with some dribbling that eases past quality players. Man of the Match performance by the 22-year-old which certainly made Arsenal concede much less than what would have happened without him for sure.

Yes, these were the stats after the game for Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate, who could have been the Man of the Match if playing away from home but the stats tell us how impressive the French must have been the night they played Gunners in the Premier League.

Trent Alexander Arnold

Team: Liverpool

Almost everyone must have seen the assist which Trent gave when Salah asked for the ball. A great performance at home by the right back who is operating as an inverted right back this time out. He would have scored a 10/10 if and only if he had not missed the 5 1 chance during the second half which would surely have crowned the game off for Liverpool and a first-place finish.

He just can't stop providing assists, can he? Lucas Paqueta was a heavy investment when bought from Lyon in France. He is a player who almost has his name in every match he places on the team sheet and also on the scoresheet as well, be it as a scorer or as a provider. Again a pivot in the midfield with slick tricks from his left foot, the Brazilian is taking the Premier League by storm.

Douglas Luiz

Team: Aston Villa

Douglas Luiz will possibly be not for sale considering his performances and also the contract he signed last season. He is a newborn player under Unai Emery with the Spaniard using his offensive traits as a surprising move in his team this time out. A vital assist during the end of the game helped Villa earn a vital point considering they were in a goal deficit for most of the game.

Team: Arsenal

Not just a permanent name in Mikel Arteta’s lineup, Declan Rice is also becoming the undisputed holding midfielder in the weekly Premier League team of the week as well. Again a dominant performance from the Ireland-born England International which is hard to forget as he is naming himself as a legend of the Gunners for sure. Surely be a big reason if Arsenal wins the Premier League.

Team: Luton Town

The forgotten Everton talisman who used to be a prime prospect for the future had a major turn of events since leaving his home club. He is back in the Premier League after stints at Chelsea and OGC Nice and Luton Town was happy for him considering the performances he is offering. A moment for the England International he is not gonna miss at all if given the chance.

Mohamed Kudus

Team: West Ham

Mohamed Kudus is proving to be a worthwhile investment and could later turn the tag into a bargain if he keeps on providing goals like this. A brace followed by a winning goal against Manchester United in the Premier League was enough to cement his name in this week's Premier League team of the week with half of the season yet to come and a hope to see his name on the weekly team pretty often.

Dominik Solanke

Team: AFC Bournemouth  

Bournemouth are on fire and they have won five of their last six matches the other one was a draw against Aston Villa. The Cheeries invested heavily in the summer to make a young squad compete in the Premier League with their start striker Dominik Solanke providing the goals in the front. The England national scored a sublime hattrick to add more to his sublime goal tally this season which has also made him a transfer target for many Premier League clubs this winter.
