Sadio Mane to move to Spain and join Real Madrid?

Having developed as one of the top players in the world, Sadio Mane is a prime target for Real Madrid. An eye-catching bid is being prepared for the Liverpool man after his recent golden boot winning performance and finishing fourth in the Ballon d’Or race.

According to Le 10 Sport, there have already been some negotiations regarding Mane even though he is contracted with the Reds until 2023. The Senegal international has netted 15 goals in 27 games in all competitions this season. 

Los Blancos are expected to lose both Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez in the upcoming months and want a proven player in Europe. Mane looks to be the perfect candidate because of appearing in both the UCL finals Liverpool have been a part of recently and also scored against the competition’s record holders in the 2018 final.

Jurgen Klopp’s men had an impactful December, losing only one out of the nine games played. Their only defeat came against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup. Persuading Mane to part ways with a team that is arguably the best at the moment in world football seems like a dream but Madrid may cash in hard to get the deal sealed.

Madrid still is a destination, a dream one for many world-class footballers but the Reds have emerged as a different beast since Klopp’s arrival. Along with the UCL, 2019 was a successful year for the Reds in terms of conquering Europe. They are the UEFA Super Cup Champions and also the FIFA Club World Cup Champions along with the famous UCL.

Mane has been Liverpool’s gem for a while now. He’s been consistent and his mentality is unquestionable. Thus, the idea of letting this most prized asset leave the club will surely be shattered as it will not be the first time that the club would do so. It happened with Coutinho but Mane’s deal will be a very tough nut to crack.
