Manchester United keeping a tab on this Norwich City duo

Manchester United are reportedly plotting a double summer raid on relegation-threatened Norwich City. 

The bottom-of-the-table Canaries look set for the drop as their narrow defeat to leaders Liverpool yesterday left them seven points adrift of safety. 

And, relegation cold mean a great deal of trouble for the club as some of their star players could be lured away. 

It is reported that both Todd Cantwell and Max Aarons could retain their top-flight status as Manchester United are interested in the young Norwich duo. 

The two youngsters have both shone for Daniel Farke’s side despite their club's struggles this campaign. 

Cantwell has been ever-impressive for the Canaries this season, having scored six goals for them. He also provided two assists in the Premier League in 26 appearances. 

The England Under-21 international, who has previously enjoyed a spell on loan at Fortuna Sittard in Holland, has been stunning for the Canaries. 

Cantwell is under contract at Carrow Road until 2022 but could leave if they face a drop. 

If Norwich does not manage to avoid relegation, they will find it difficult to keep hold onto their priced asset. 

Meanwhile, Max Aarons has also emerged as a target for the Red Devils as they look to bolster their right-back options. 

The 20-year-old signed a five-year deal last summer to tie him to the club until 2024. Aarons is primarily a right-back but is equally comfortable playing as a left-back as well. 

Following Ashley Young’s departure to Inter Milan in January and Luke Shaw’s future up-in-the-air, it seems that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified Aarons as the perfect man to come in and challenge for a spot in his starting XI. 

He does have £55m summer signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka at the right-back while youngster Brandon Williams has also stepped up this season to become more of a regular in the left-back position. 

However, Aarons would be a great addition to the Red Devils thanks to his immense potential as well as versatility.
