Utah Jazz are all set to lock horns with the LA Lakers on Saturday in Los Angeles as the run to cement a spot for the NBA Playoffs continues.

Utah Jazz have the best record in the NBA as things stand (42-12) but losing Donovan Mitchell due to an ankle injury was not the way they would've wanted to celebrate it. 

They contrived to clinch a victory against the Indiana Pacers but Mitchell's injury would be something that they could regret later on in the competition.

This will be the second confrontation between the Utah Jazz and the LA Lakers in the NBA 2020-21 season. The last meeting between the sides took place a couple of months ago, with Utah Jazz prevailing over the Lakers by a comfortable 25-point margin.

Derrick Favors is out with a knee injury, while Donovan Mitchell has an ankle problem.

The defending champions look to continue their defensive approach to endure a decent form, especially without two of their main stars, LeBron James and Anthony Davis. 

However, matching the pace of Utah Jazz may for the entire game seem very unrealistic to execute. However, with Anthony Davis just a couple of days away from featuring, the Lakers would hope to pounce straight at their opponents and start playing their natural game again.

LA Lakers have managed to field the court without their two stars since March 20th when LeBron James sustained an ankle concern and has been out since then. 

However, the first blow occurred to Davis on February 14, as he got a problem in his calf and will be back on the court after more than two months.

The absentee of both these players has led to the Lakers dropping to fifth in the Western Conference. However, their defense has only come out stronger in these tough times and they will hope that they pick up as soon as possible.

The Lakers have been the fourth-best defensive unit in the entire league but do not have much to offer offensively, while Utah Jazz are third while attacking, and fourth in defense in the conference.

LeBron James is yet to come back from his ankle problem. Kyle Kuzma is out of contention due to a calf injury, Dennis Schroder is sidelined due to a foot injury. 

Jared Dudley has a knee injury. Andre Drummond has a toe problem, while Wesley Matthews and Markieff Morris are out with achilles and ankle injuries respectively.
