Best IPL players of the 2021 season

IPL 2021 season has delivered highly anticipated matches, and the tournament will reach its culmination on 15th October Friday. On this occasion, Sportco looks at some of the best players of the 2021 IPL edition.

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli suffered defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders, which was his last game as an RCB captain. 

In an interview Kohli was asked if he will continue with RCB, Kohli said: "Yes definitely, I don't see myself playing anywhere else. Loyalty matters more to me than worldly pleasures. I would be in the RCB till the last day I play in the IPL,"

Virat Kohli has been the captain of RCB since 2011 and has led them to 140 matches, winning 66 and losing 70, reaching the final only twice. In 2016 he scored 973 runs, the most by any player in the single edition of the IPL. 

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings have already booked their spot in the final, record ninth time. Kolkata Night Riders and Delhi Capital will battle it out for the final spot in the play-off tomorrow. 

Mumbai Indians the defending champions failed to secure the spot in playoffs for the first time since 2018, ending behind Kolkata Knight Riders.

As the 2021 edition of the IPL is coming to an end, we take a look at the top best players who have exceptionally good. 

Harsh Patel is leading the table with the most points followed by KL Rahul in second place and Ravindra Jadeja in third. Harsh Patel has surpassed the record of Jasprit Bumrah of 27 wickets in the 2020 season, Patel has now taken most 32 most by any player in IPL History.

Best emerging players of 2021 IPL 

While there is new young talent on the table, Ruturaj Gaikwad, emerging hero of IPL 2021. Gaikwad has become CKS’s key player after showing his batting prowess in 2020 and scored at an average of 51. His heroic performance in the playoffs caught much attention as he inspired the team to IPL 2021 final.  

IPL has always played a key role for young Indian cricketers to show their talents who could later get a call-up from their national teams. The IPL 2021 has witnessed some young talents who can be the future prodigy. 

Chetan Sakariya became the most important bowler of the Rajasthan Royals with his medium-pace has cause problems to batters of the tournament and his knack for wickets has proved him to be deadly.  

Harpreet Brar has worked well to establish himself in Punjab Kings, he caught the media’s attention when he claimed three crucial wickets of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and ABD.   

Ravi Bishnoi, Bishnoi’s bowling is quite difficult to crack, his leg-spin troubled quite a lot of big hitters of the tournament. In the 2020 season, he claimed 12 wickets from 14 games, and this season as well took the same number of wickets in just nine games.
