Jurgen Klopp's landmark victory in the English Premier League

Jurgen Klopp started his managerial career at Mainz 05. Before taking up the job as a manager, Klopp played for Mainz 05 for the majority of his footballing career. Klopp led Mainz 05 to the promotion to Bundesliga in 2004 season. However, Klopp’s spell was not fruitful anymore, as his club got relegated in 2006-07 season, ultimately leading him to resign in 2008.

The German was then appointed as the boss at Borussia Dortmund, guiding them to a successful Bundesliga title-winning campaign in 2010-2011. Klopp, helped Dortmund to win their first-ever domestic double and also made the squad reach the 2012-13 UEFA Champions League finals, where they narrowly lost to their domestic rivals, Bayern Munich.

Jurgen, then left Dortmund in 2015, as their longest-serving manager, just like he did at Mainz 05. The year also saw the dismissal of Brendan Rodgers, which made room for him to take over. In his first season only, Liverpool reached the EFL Cup finals and the Europa League finals, sadly losing both.

But, history was in the making. After signing some world-class players from different clubs, he led Liverpool to successive UEFA Champions League finals in 2018 and 2019, winning the latter. This squad also, finished second in the 18-19 premier league season, scoring 97 points, highest by a club without winning the title.

This tally was also, the third-highest total in the history of top English Division. Klopp’s Liverpool, also won the 2019 UEFA Super Cup. Apart from all these accomplishments, Klopp has built a Liverpool side, capable of defeating any side in the world and his team is currently on its way to win their maiden Premier League trophy

On fourth of December, after a thumping Merseyside derby victory, he became the second-fastest manager to win 100 Premier League games, just after managing in 159 games. Jose Mourinho is the fastest manager to achieve the feat just after 142 games.
