Manchester City set to sign Nathan Ake and Ferran Torres
Premier League giants Manchester City are close to signing both Nathan Ake and Ferran Torres.
It seems that Bournemouth have accepted a fee of €41 million for Ake's transfer. Valencia have reportedly sold Torres for a fee of €25 million.
Ake will discuss personal terms in the upcoming days join the Cityzens for the 2020-21 season. It is reported that add-ons worth €11 million are a part of this deal.
Despite shining in the attack, Manchester City were struggling in defense. Since former captain and club legend Vincent Kompany left the Etihad, no proper replacements were drafted to succeed the veteran.
With Bournemouth relegated to the Championship on the last Premier League matchday, City were determined to sign the 25-year old defender to solve their miseries at the back.
After leaving Chelsea in 2017, Ake shone for Bournemouth and he registered 121 appearances for the club.
He is also known to be a cover option at left-back and the board have signed a player that suits their portfolio. In addition to Ake, City have also been plotting moves for Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly and Sevilla's Diego Carlos to strengthen their defense.
Torres, meanwhile, can prove to be a replacement for Leroy Sane who has returned to the Bundesliga by joining Bayern Munich.
The Spanish sensation has favored a move to City and looks to play under his compatriot Pep Guardiola's guidance. This transfer is a bargain for a player with distinct capabilities on the pitch.
Manchester City have once again started their spending spree and they are determined to look better than ever in the next campaign.
