Manchester United ready to sell Paul Pogba in a cut-price deal

When Manchester United spent a world record 89 million pounds to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus, the whole world took notice. Some expected the Red Devils to build the team around the mercurial Frenchman who had impressed everyone in the Serie A and Champions League. Fast forward four years, the midfielder has failed to make the desired impact for the club.

He has given the evidence of his talent on multiple occasions, but the United fans expected much more consistency from him. Manchester United sold Romelu Lukaku and loaned Alexis Sanchez in the summer, which put additional responsibility on the Frenchman. The midfielder got injured in the early part of the season, and since then he has never quite recovered from his fitness problems.

Pogba has managed to make just six appearances for the club, which has made some fans question his commitment towards the club. According to the Manchester United Evening News, the World Cup-winning midfielder wants a move away from Manchester. It is believed that the midfielder has conveyed his decision to the board and his teammates.

Real Madrid, managed by Pogba's idol Zinedine Zidane and Frenchman's former club Juventus are interested in acquiring his services. The move to these clubs seems much more appealing to the midfielder than the life at United, which is struggling to even qualify for the Champions League.

This is not the first time that Pogba has tried to engineer a move away from Old Trafford. He tried to move away from the club last summer, but United managed to keep him at the club. According to the reports, Pogba's agent Mino Raiola is also trying to take his client away from Old Trafford.

While United is determined to keep the star at the club, only 18 months are left in his contract. Manchester United want 180 million pounds for the star midfielder, but the contract situation and Pogba's desire to leave the club might force the club to accept a bid of around 120 million.
