French Ace reportedly 'agrees' to a world-record transfer to Real Madrid
The PSG star is rumored to have agreed 'personal' terms with the Los Blancos and he will join the club either by 2020 or 2021, according to the Sun.
Since his breakthrough at AS Monaco, Los Blancos have been monitoring his situation and the Frenchman has also expressed his interest to play for the Whites in several interviews.
But the recent spat between PSG coach Thomas Tuchel and the youngster in the recent 5-0 win against Montpellier has added fuel to the fire. The mega money transfer is said to be imminent in a matter of months.
He has also turned down a contract extension offered by the Parisians and this has worried the club. This is not the very first time we have seen such animosity as the last one came back in December.
Back then, Mbappe clearly disrespected Tuchel while being substituted midway through the game, coincidentally against the same club.
Madrid Boss Zinedine Zidane is a fan of the player and he will be looking forward to work with him in the near future.
He is seen as the key to seal the transfer as the Spanish Giants are trying to lure the World cup winner away from Paris by all means.
"From what they tell me from different clubs that have contacted him, Madrid has it closed,”
This was the statement given by Famous Football journalist Oriol Domenech on the Catalunya Radio as quoted by the The Sun.
He further added that,
“When Mbappe departs, in 2020 or 2021, he will go to Madrid,”
The recent controversies at the Parc des Princes mean that Mbappe will somehow find his way out as he seems to demand more respect and game time.
The transfer fee is said to be a mammoth 257 million euros and this is getting even bigger.
Tuchel, on the other hand, is reported to have disciplined Mbappe for his antics at the pitch and this has infuriated the prodigy. Speaking on the issue, the German boss stated that,
“I’m the coach, someone has to decide who goes off and who comes on – it’s me.
“He is very intelligent, he knows what he is doing. He doesn’t like going off, nobody likes going off.
“These are not good images, but we are not the only club that has to deal with this sort of thing.
“It’s not good, because it opens up subjects that go against the team’s state of mind. Too bad.
“I am not angry, but I am sad because it is not necessary. I explained to him why we did this, and it will stay that way.
“I will always decide the technical aspects. We don’t play tennis, we play soccer and we have to respect everyone.
The situation has now become favorable for Real Madrid to bring their dream man finally to the Santiago Bernabeu and the Mbappe transfer saga has just started to evolve.
