Three potential replacements for Heung-Min Son in FPL

With around 22% ownership, Tottenham Hotspurs' Heung-Min Son was one of the most popular Fantasy League players going into Game week 18. He had mouth-watering fixtures going into the hectic Christmas period as Spurs was going to face Brighton, Norwich, and Southampton next. 

It, however, was not meant to be as he got his third red card for the year against Chelsea and was suspended for three game weeks. He will play his next game as early as on January 11 against table leaders, Liverpool. His owners will surely miss him in the upcoming fixtures but it is part of the unpredictable FPL and now as Managers, we have to move on to his replacement. 

1. Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba has just come back from his injury. Although he didn't start against Watford and Newcastle, he came off the bench after Half-time in both the matches and looked like his old self on both the occasions and created several chances and almost scored a goal against Newcastle.

 At £8.4m, Pogba is going to play a huge role for Manchester United moving forward in the new year. Rumors are flying high that Pogba wants to move to Real Madrid, but the move might have to wait till summer as there are no advances from either party involved at the moment. The red half of Manchester is going to face Burnley, Arsenal, and Norwich next and they would want Pogba to play a key role in those games to break into the top four of Premier League.

2. Dele Alli

Replacing one in-form key asset with another in-form key asset is a no-brainer and you would even save £1m in the process. Dele Alli is in the form of his life at the moment. He got a new life under Jose Mourinho and he is making the most of it. In the last three games, he has scored a total of 11 points including a winning goal against Brighton. 

With Spurs' fixtures and in the absence of Son, Alli would be looking to make the most of the opportunity. Even if you didn't like him in the next three games, you can always re-swap him with Son.

With ownership of 16.7%, he is a key asset moving forward for FPL managers. He may not score points consistently, but he always re-pays the trust.

3. Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne is another asset who is smashing it out of the park consistently right now. He is now the third most owned player behind Jamie Vardy and Jon Lundstram with 48.2% ownership. He has scored 24 points in his last three games including a 19-point haul against Arsenal. 

He is now going to face newly promoted Sheffield United, struggling Everton and 18th placed Aston Villa in his next three fixtures. With favorable fixtures and form moving forward, De Bruyne is a must own player right now.
