Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers calls Klopp's Liverpool "unstoppable"

Liverpool moved 13 points clear at the top after thrashing Leicester City 4-0 at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day. 

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers said that his former club, who have been a very composed and solid squad, will be very tough to defeat. It will be very, very hard to stop Liverpool from winning the Premier League.

Liverpool have now won 17 out of 18 games this season in the Premier League. After taking the lead in the first half, Jurgen Klopp’s men kept on firing as Leicester lost their cool and eventually all the hopes to get back in the game.

Roberto Firmino’s brace, a James Milner penalty, which was also his first touch on the ball after a controversial decision given by the referee, Michael Oliver and Trent Alexander-Arnold's strike saw the Reds cruise past Rodgers’ side.

Alexander-Arnold also provided two assists and had a great game as Liverpool successfully kept a clean sheet too. 

Rodgers said,” They’ve become winners now and haven’t lost many games over an 18-month period, so to lose the games they would need to in the second part of the season, they’ve got enough players now, enough experience and enough quality to stay focused and get the job done.”

“There’s still a lot to play for but in our last couple of games we’ve come up against the best two teams in the league.” Liverpool have dropped points only at one occasion, that is on their trip to Old Trafford. Otherwise, their consistency has been amazing and all the players are delivering. 

The matches are ending in their favor despite some teams setting up deep. With all the hard work, Liverpool are looking very confident and are smartly marching their way through. Klopp is making sure that his team fights for each every point as last season, it was the points they had dropped which cost them the title.
