3 overseas players RCB should target in the 2020 IPL Auction
Royal Challengers Bangalore; the team that is being led by India's very own captain, Virat Kohli and one that boasts of having South Africa's former player AB De Villiers.
But unfortunately, they have never won an IPL trophy in their long run in the league, though they have made a few appearances in the final.
This year, heading into the auction, they have made some major changes in their management and coaching staff as they are looking to build a squad that can give them the prestigious IPL trophy.
Let's have a look at some of the overseas players that RCB should target in the IPL Auction on the 19th of December in Kolkata.
1. Tom Banton
The Somerset opener recently played for England in the New Zealand tour. A lot of teams are looking forward to recruiting this young lad from England. He has played 18 List-A matches and scored 524 runs at an average of 30.82.
His T20 stats are much better than this, as he has scored 591 runs in his last 16 innings, which is a pretty awesome number.
2. Pat Cummins
The Australian pacer needs no introduction. Pat Cummins has already played 16 IPL matches so far, but his stats do not do justice to his current form. In 16 matches, he has picked up 17 wickets, but he is in his prime right now and could be the pacer that RCB desperately needs.
3. Sheldon Cottrell
Sheldon Cottrell could be the answer to RCB's bowling issues. He can bowl yorkers at will. The West Indies international had an impressive World Cup and an awesome campaign in the Caribbean Premier League.
They have pacers such as Umesh Yadav and Navdeep Saini, and if they manage to add Cottrell, the bowling attack can get stronger.
It will be interesting to see who RCB go after in the auction.
